Accomplishment - When does the subconscious feel it?

Image
I have always heard the saying, 'mind is a monkey'. Of late with the kind of network and connectivity, we have loads of information in much less than a click of a button. Multiple ideas and the need to jump from one source to another, not just makes us feel low in our self-esteem, but also the need to try everything.  So, as a monkey, today we try different tools and land up getting sucked into the vacuum of trying and starting something new, before finishing the ones we started. The subconscious mind is confused, there is a sense of incompletion and it keeps bring that too into our internal minds eye and suddenly we feel overwhelmed even on days when we had all the worlds time in our hands doing nothing but feel exhausted. Ever felt this? This is due to the fact that we start with a project 1 and before seeing its completion we start project2 and 3, we can if we have the intention of completing one and all. This my dear friend brings a low self esteem to the subconscious and w

Story Telling Day 11 We had a friend come over to visit us and both of them enjoy each others company. AIM : To attempt picture pointing to the story as I tell the story. Achieved : Initially there was a bit of a resistance since he loved to play with uncle instead of story time. But went with the flow and we showcased our story together, I voiced over and he pointed the cards in the process and response to certain questions such as how crow makes sounds and how pebbles where dropped which is something we have achieved in the previous days of story telling.

Twists would be there instead of CROW identifying POT he will search for a TAP since we live in the city finding a POT filled with water was unrealistic. Aim today : Introduce the story picture cards. Achieved : Sitting and scanning the card while i introduced the story again. One day at a time one step at a time is my agenda.  Lets see how tomorrow shapes up.

Kick Starting my 100 days project - Story Telling

I have always believed that story telling is an art. And also felt that it was never my cup of tea. However decided to take a plunge into it. Thanks to the group of parents enthusiastically working and helping each other in their own paths of 100 day projects that I flag off and hope to update where and how I am able to continue in this journey. With my son who needs facilitation in language development, stories play and important role in sequencing and imagination building. I just realized its been almost 5-6 years since i attempted telling him stories. Day 1 With the help of life smart goals, I have dusted and pulled out all those stories I have already tried telling in the past with an assumption that it will be easy to associate and to gain attention of my son. One of the story being the THIRSTY CROW, materials collected for visual and cards made on day1. Link to the making of the same below for reference. See ya tomorrow with an update on Day 2. More ideas are welcome please post

100 Days of Consistency - Is that possible?

Being consistent was always boring and not my piece of cake. Everyday has to be different and new.  But to develop a new habit or replace an old one needs tremendous amount of consistency irrespective of how we feel at that time and space. For that I am going to be grateful to my parents for pushing me at this ripe age too. In the last two years I tried to read books, listen to motivational podcasts and implement those with blind fold faith. Why? since mind was already preoccupied and overwhelmed with a great deal of do do things in my list. What I leant from my experience is thus in a nutshell is below: Habit changer attempt 1: 21 days to make a new habit. Well this helps but once the date 21 comes to a full circle I did fall back to the old me. It did feel good that i was able to take action.  I would suggest each one to start here to understand that yes it is possible if we put our minds and body in action. Habit changer attempt 2: Religious fasting of food be it in Lent, Ramzan or

Back after a Year Long Break

Just realized, that I have been so caught up in the vicious circle of COVID in and around spaces and have taken a long break than I had imagined. Its as good as restarting into consistency. Giving myself a challenge to keep this upbeat with posts on regular basis. Wising you all good health.
